Check GIF Upload Limits: KakaoTalk, DC Inside and Naver

Use the current attachment instructions for your account, file type and upload method when choosing a GIF size target.

1. Find the restriction that applies to your upload

Read the attachment instructions, current error message and official service help. Account level, file type, app and web workflows may differ. When recording a limit, note the date and interface where you checked it.

2. DC Inside

Check the writing screen for the gallery you are using. The site’s DC Inside preset is a compression starting point, not a guarantee of the official upload limit. Read the dedicated upload troubleshooting guide for a step-by-step approach.

3. KakaoTalk and other messaging apps

Chat attachments and profile media are different features. Check whether the intended location supports GIF animation and what its current limit is. Sending an image and sending a file may produce different display behavior.

5. Treat presets as starting settings

Check whether the actual output is below the target and compare it with the service’s current restriction. Selecting a preset alone does not guarantee successful uploading. Verify the final attachment and animation.
