Optimize Product-page GIFs for Smart Store and Coupang

Match GIF dimensions and scene length to the product page, then measure the actual page before and after changing the file.

1. Check the actual content width

Use the product editor and mobile preview to find the displayed width. One pixel width does not fit every product page or service. Check small labels at the final display size.

2. Keep the action that explains the product

Remove unnecessary waiting and repeated scenes while preserving the start and outcome of the action. Make sure the shorter clip still communicates the intended use. Check the transition between the final and first frame.

3. Compare text, product color and motion

Small instructions may become unreadable after resizing. Compare the original and output while adjusting palette size and frame intervals. Accurate product color or a clear demonstration can matter more than achieving the smallest file.

4. Measure the real page

Compare pages containing the original and new GIF on the same device and network. A percentage reduction in GIF bytes is not the same as a percentage improvement in total page loading. Conversion changes require their own measurement and cannot be inferred from smaller media alone.
