1. Read the current upload instructions
Check the gallery’s current writing screen, attachment instructions and error message. Desktop, mobile and different attachment workflows can differ. This guide does not assume a universal MB limit for every board.
2. Choose a target with some room below the limit
Enter a target below the limit shown in the interface. The tool uses 1,024 bytes per input KB. If the service uses decimal units, values near the boundary can differ. Target compression encodes candidates and compares their actual byte counts rather than treating an estimate as success.
3. Check text and motion
Strong reductions in dimensions, colors or frames can blur captions or remove intermediate movements. Preview the result, download it and keep the original. A file below the byte limit still needs to communicate the scene you intended.
4. Separate a missed size target from other upload errors
If the target is not reached, shorten the clip or reduce dimensions. Even a result below the size limit can be rejected for file type, damage or attachment method. Open the downloaded file and read the current error before applying stronger compression.
5. Attach and verify the saved GIF
Confirm the success message and actual output size, then attach the correct downloaded file in the gallery. Presets are starting settings, not evidence of an official DC Inside restriction. Check the published animation as well as the editor preview.
